Nicole Hsiao

Hi, I’m Nicole

Nicole Hsiao

Now that you’re here, let’s get to know the person behind this home.

Where did you first get to know me? On the TV news? Through my radio show? Maybe you’ve seen me sharing everyday moments on Facebook—or perhaps we met on Airbnb?

However we met, welcome to Nicole’s Home!

Scroll down and let’s get to know each other

02 / ON AIR, OFF AIR

The me you know, and the me in everyday life

An illustration of Nicole in a red jacket

You may have seen me at the news desk, taking my reporting seriously.

At home, I’m busy looking after my family and getting ready for trips. Whenever I find something I love, I can’t help wanting to share it.

Since becoming a mum, I’ve been learning to accept that I don’t have to get full marks in every role.

Give your best at work, love your family wholeheartedly, and remember to leave a little time for yourself.

I’m still learning that, too.

03 / IN TOKYO

Why is my second home in Tokyo?

Because I’ve had the same booking worries when travelling with my family!

A family trip can mean separate rooms, sometimes even on different floors. Helping everyone enjoy the trip takes a little more thought.

I kept wishing for somewhere we could eat and chat together, while each having space to rest well.

That’s how the idea for Nicole’s Home began.

I planned it myself and filled it with the little details that matter to me. When choosing things, I always asked: ‘If my family and I stayed here, what would make us more comfortable?’

After a day of walking and exploring, home should be somewhere you can truly relax.

04 / MORE TO SHARE

Want to know a little more?

  1. If you see a book, feel free to open it.

Reading a book I love can sometimes tell you more about me than a long introduction.

  2. If you spot Yuzu, remember to take a photo together.

Our cat didn’t move to Tokyo with us, but there’s a special place for Yuzu in this home.

  3. And leave me a message.

Tell me where you came from, what you did on this trip, or a fun story you made here.

Nicole’s cat, Yuzu

I’ve shared a little of my life. I’d love to know yours, too.

JUST FOR YOU

One last entry in the guestbook: a note for you

Thank you for coming. There’s so much to see in Tokyo. I hope you have a wonderful, fulfilling time—and remember to rest, without wearing yourself out.

If you don’t finish your itinerary, come back another time. Travelling together is special: leave a little more time for the people beside you, and for yourself.

When you think back on this trip, I hope you remember not only the places you visited, but also the time you spent staying here together.

I’m happy to be part of these memories with you.
