Mirror Media: Former News Anchor Nicole Hsiao Invests in a Tokyo Whole-Home Stay, Bringing Celebrity Branding to Family Travel

Former news anchor Nicole Hsiao has entered Japan’s hospitality market, investing in and planning Nicole’s Home (YAHIRO), a detached Tokyo property now accepting reservations. It holds a Japanese Hotel Business Act license allowing year-round operation, taking her beyond overseas property ownership into hands-on hospitality. WHO’s HOME operates the property, and Nicole is both its celebrity representative and a principal investor. From the planning stage, the project sought a hotel license and combined real-estate assets, hospitality operations, and a personal brand to pursue long-term returns, rather than simply buying and renting out a home.

Nicole describes Nicole’s Home as her ‘second home in Tokyo,’ designed to turn her preferred way of living into accommodation that can be operated over the long term. She stresses that she is an active investor and operator, not simply a name attached to the project. She has taken part in choosing the location, planning the layout, and selecting the amenities.

According to the operator, Nicole’s Home is a detached, two-story Tokyo property of approximately 102 square meters, aimed at families, groups of friends and relatives, and guests renting the entire house. Unlike urban hotels centered on double rooms and compact spaces, it offers a shared living room, accommodation for groups, and complete living facilities, meeting post-pandemic demand for family trips, independent group travel, and medium-to-long stays.
